After a little bit of simple troubles as usual it at last began.

Rajendra Stadium, Katihar;

All was going late and people were working all around. Cooking staffs and core arrangement maker were at their peak. (Although they were only five). Five tents were around. 1. For cooking 2.for distribution 3.two were for chief guest etc. And the third was near the the “Puja Sthal.” At the center. Cool enough!

The Preparation:

Ancient Oraon men were very strong,skillful and liked dressing up.

They neatly combed their hair and tied it up at back and dressed it with a peacock wing/ bunch of beautiful grasses/ a flower.

They wore loads of coin like-designed silver pieces all over the neck, in front, which was nicely weaved with thick cotton threads.

They used to wear cotton "Dhoti" below.

Well, people wearing similar can be found even today in far off "hatt" (village market) around Ranchi and many more places. It's looks awesome!!!!!

Get an Idea/Concept-

At first you need a rock solid Idea to work on. It should be something on which you, yourself can trust, that yes, it's going to work.

Designing and arranging it-
Do as many sketches/illustrations as possible and the research work too to make it adorable and believable at the same time by everyone.So that, at the end of the day, it can be merchandised.

Writing the Script.
It's not suggestable to write scripts by yourself. A writer, experienced in writing scripts for animation stuffs, is good for it, with necessary experience.

4.

Designing the characters, layouts etc-
Use your best design capabilities for the theme ,character and layout design etc.

5.

Character bible(characters,layouts,synopsis,script,illustrations and other designed stuffs)
Get all research, designed stuffs and documents at a place and make a Character Bible.

6.

Copyright it.
For security of your created work get it or a part of it such as the script or a character, copyrighted.

7.

Pitch
Pitch it to distributors, Tv Channel (if its series) etc.

8.

Find Producer
If your Pitch is successful, find a producer.

9.Start our project.
So, you are on your way.!!

Kurukhars- Hindus or Christians?

The Scheduled Tribe (ST) population of Jharkhand State is as per 2001 census
7,087,068 constituting 26.3 per cent of the total population (26,945,829) of the State.
Among all Sates and UTs, Jharkhand holds 6th and 10th ranks terms of the ST population and the percentage share of the ST population to the total population of the State
respectively. According to THE SCHEDULED TRIBES Census of India 2001.

But what's the reality? Is that perfect? Even if we ignore the counting errors,yet It's not even near to the the original count.

You may feel how I am so sure about it !

Well, It's because it's a very a common situation each S.T. need to face. May be you are a Oraon, Santhal, Kharia Ho, Munda or whatever,l this happens to every one. I my self have faced situations where we are recorded as Hindus or Christians in many gov. or private documents. Well, some of us notice it and try to get it correct, and some do not feel to or some times do not understands the seriousness of the problem.

So, what's the issue? Am I effected by something like it?

No, maybe it doesn't effects you but, the people who are effected are our people from deep villages and many others who need serious help. When our people are recorded (may be by mistake or intensionally) in the Hindus or the Christians, they are counted as the general category. Thus the thing what happens is, the total count of S.T. gets low, resulting into lower aid from the government. As they send help depending on those wrong census reports. Which finally causes serious issues.

How? What issues??

It's like this. Whenever an aid or some plan comes from the government for the development of the our people.It reaches at a very low amount, then what is required. Which seriously hampers our people. When Government doesn't know the right count of our people then how could we expect a full on help.

This minor thing, of not checking our official forms etc,is directly hampering our community.
Well' I also know some people who feel ashamed to get counteed or called S.T.

For them I would Like to say that : Please get your and your's relatives S.T. certificate and hand them over to some needy people. There are lots them. Go and Find then near District Courts and municipalities !

All I want to say is that,
be aware about it next time and try to make other aware about it too!!
Proudly say I am a S.T.
And all others should do too !!

Make your first animation!

To learn animation is not compulsory to learn it from a institute/school unless you are interested in a job.
All you need is :
1.extra fully dedicated long term time.
2.interest and little knowledge in art and craft.
3.creative brain.(to make it appreciable)
4.a safe,calm and separate space for work.(sometimes music at low volume is helpful)
5.a lightbox if possible ,lots of paper and pencils etc if you want to animate on paper.
6.a clay or just any weird thing you can get to animate.
7.finally a camera.(cellfone cam is ok too)

Now just draw or pose anything in a particular pattern per page/per snap i.e. the way you want your drawings/object to move and just shoot it in a sequence.At least 100 pictures please!Then play all those using any software on your Pc.(you can also use Windows default 'Image and fax viewer' to see your first animation).

I can say you will feel awesome,As I felt on that very day!

Choosing A Right Animation School.

As I always say that no schooling or degree is needed to brand your animation capability.
But, twist in the story comes when you have to earn money,Right!!

So,how to know that you are going at a right place to learn Animation,film or character design etc etc.

My personal opinion is:

1.Ask yourself that you have enough potential to survive in the industry
(it reality that students join this field to learn and later on feel its tough to work all day long,and sometimes even on holidays/sundays.I my self have seen a lot to go into other business after finishing.)

2.How are you special and different from others?
(to work at a good post you need to show up that you have the thing.)

3.Are you punctual?
(all works have fixed time and deadlines,missing deadlines means losing the total project,you need to be very punctual and regular.)

NOW IF YOU ARE READY TO JOIN THEN MAKE IT SURE YOU ARE GOING TO LEARN THE EXTREME THING AVAILABLE!!!
For That Look For A Animation School That Has:-

1.Visiting Faculties-
on various topics.

2.Experienced Faculties-
know the background of the faculty,if possible talk to them and his/her students.

3.Course Duration-
Longer the duration better the learning.

4.Student's and Faculty's Short Films-
it talks the truth about the history and potentials of the institute.

5.Infrastructure-
Classrooms,Library,Upgraded machines,RenderFarm,Internal and external creative competitions etc.

Finally I would like to say that its all upon you. Sketching is must for a animation student(well it does'nt means you need to have an art background) it may be bad,dirty or just rubbish, keep on doing it, surely soon you get the sketch coming. Watching Live Action/Animation films and follow its art of making it.

The Way We Celebrate Sarhul Puja

Sarhul Puja is totally dedicated to the holy Saal Trees!

Its celebrated when the Saal tree gets new flowers in the spring season.In villages it celebrated with lot of procedures.

We celebrate it in a different way!

All Sarna or Non Sarna friends and families are invited for the 'Sarhul Puja'.Few funds are raised from people who are interested and we all together celebrate Sarhul Puja, sometimes we celebrated on the day,bunking all our work. (As no Office sanctions a leave for Sarhul Puja)

Few of us and all ladies get together for preparing the Meals for the gathering! And gents mainly get involved for the preparation of the 'Sarhul Puja'.

As Saal tree are becoming rare, we nowadays use a blossomed branch of Saal Tree,which is too becoming a tough nut to crack!(this year it took us 2 days to find and get a blossomed branch of Saal tree).Its placed in the east corner of house.And other formalities are completed like three men go to fetch water in three mud pots for Puja etc etc.

When all the preparation for the puja is ready we get all people together in front of the the Puja Place and then the prayer starts.

We sing songs to our Ancestors,Gods and Goddesses,and say our prayers. We all get one by one to the Puja place to take the Aarti (heat of the Holy Burning Light)meanwhile others sing songs from thousands of songs which are are being sung from generation after generation from thousand of years.

When the Song are sung with all musical instruments it sounds very enchanting it makes you feel very different and unique within yourself. I personally feel good and bad at the same time.

Good because:
All the music is pure,untouched and is exactly sung, as it was, thousand of years before.You can feel the purity in the sound and lyrics.

Bad because :
Nowadays the music getting popular in the market is total destruction and shameful versions of our original music and hymns!I feel sorry for that.

So, after when all is done all of us rejoice amongst ourselves and the meal is served and meanwhile others Sing and Dance on our traditional songs and Music.

I hope someday we will celebrate in way our ancestors used to!

The mysterious and unsolved link of 'Kurukhar's' with 'The Indus Valley Civilization'

As we have listen in songs from ancestor that the people in the Indus valley civilization came far away from Africa,traveling through Egypt,Mesopotamia,along the shores of the Gulf,till the Indus valley this journey took thousands of years.We the Kurukhars were the first to explore the Asian lands.The reason to come so far was not that we were explorers or nomads but it was because the barbarian invader from far north and west attacked our people for capturing our land and to be in our civilization but as Kurukhars, always being civilized never fought back as they we were always peace loving.thus we moved on.

Kurukher's became more civilized and cultural as they stayed In the Indus valley for a very long time.Meanwhile the western invaders were happy with the the things they had captured from us.

Our agriculture, religion, script, art & craft, economy and technology etc blossomed a lot as it got time for it.But soon the barbarian invaders attacked Indus too, as they were barbarians and were busy attacking it's near by places they didn't developed themselves, thus it was a good enough reason for them to attack us as we had all but didn't had tendency to fight back.

So, being the easiest and most profitable prey, ones again we were attacked. But this time our community divided, people lost belief amongst themselves. Resulting in division into separate groups. Few group took the path of violence and fought back until death against those fully trained and prepared barbarians. Few of them moved to the never before explored jungles of the southern India, who are today's Dravidians of the southern india. Few groups moved to dangerous eastern dense forest of India and settled forest around todays Bihar. Links for this division can easily be assumed as the similarity between the script,words in both language, art and crafts etc of the Kurukhar's of the eastern India and Dravidian's of the south.

These Kurukher further divided into two groups. One of which moved towards the Rajmahal hills of the the Jharkhand and today and are known as the 'Santhals' and the other tribes around these areas.
The others were the Oraons who settled in the in Rhatugarh(Rohtasgarh).

And the another phase of development of the Oroaon cultured started.
